Things we do
Just a Sample of Delights
Our Cream Tea
Minions is a small village perched on the Southern
edge of Bodmin Moor between Launceston and
Liskeard. A mystical area of Cornwall with the
Hurler's Stone Circles just out side the Village,
and the legendary Cheesewring Stones, high up on
Stowes Hill, associated with myth and legends.
The Beast of Bodmin Moor is occasionally seen in
The surrounding area is steeped in the history
of Tin/ Copper mining and Granite Quarries, sites
of Bronze age settlements, with Engine houses to
explore and be beautiful, breathtaking views as you
walk across the Moor. Add to this areas of
"Outstanding Natural Beauty", Sites of "Special
Scientific Interest" coupled with the current
application for "World Heritage Status" you have
all the ingredients for a wonderful Visit to
Cornwall's highest Post Office Tearooms, Bed and Breakfast.
Our B & B is a Self contained annex with all
ground floor accommodation, located at
the side of
The Minions Post Office Tearooms.
Cream Tea from £4.40
Our Cream Teas are second to None.
We have Two Delicious Scones, Baked by Chaple Bakery, Two pots of Strawberry Jam and 1/4lb of Rodda's Clotted Cream

just as above in the Picture
Home made Cakes
We use Duck eggs from Henwood ( no Pun intended ) and eggs from Minions and traditional recipes for our range of home made cakes. The Apricot Oat Slice is a real favourite served with Rodda's Clotted cream.
Other popular cakes are Carrot Cake and Victoria Sandwich, also a baked Lemon Cheese cake served with Strawberries and Roddas Clotted Cream .
Our Pastys are fresh every day from Chaple Bakery Liskeard.
They have been supplying Minions Shop for more than 15 years and make great Pastys.
We sell Traditional Cornish, Cheese & Onion and Vegetable Pastys.
After more than 25 years serving Cream teas in Minions, Minions Tea Rooms know a thing or two about serving tea.
We serve a Large pot of tea (enough for at least two cups). We have a fresh Bean to cup Coffee maker which makes a good cup of Coffee, Cappuccino, or a Latte.
Our Hot chocolates are arguably the best in Minions made with Cadbury's Hot Chocolate and Hot Milk. We serve these with a Flake as standard and options are Marsh mallows and/or Cream.
Proper Job Sandwiches
We make sandwiches to order in the tearoom and for takeaway in the Shop. We use Chaple Bakery's uncut loaves and use our locally renowned freshly sliced Ham, local Cheeses and salads for the fillings.
Choose from West country Ham, Cheese, Tuna, Hummus & Red onion Chutney.
All are served with salad and your choice of Chutney, Pickle or Mayonnaise
We have a well stocked Deli in Minions Shop and can always provide a good salad for the Hungry Traveler.
A Selection would include Quiche, Cheese, West country Ham, Hummus, Olives, Feta stuffed Sweet Peppers and Pork pies.
Just a bit of fun
Here in Minions as you will probably have seen are Lots of Sheep, in May June the lambs occasionally get lost or separated from their Mums and a common sound in Minions is the sound of "Lammy" calling "Mother".
Mostly "Mother" has just had enough of attention seeking lambs and just wondered off (perhaps she's in the pub?), anyway for all you Mother's and Dad's who are constantly bleated at by your children here is a free Ringtone which should help! Play in your browser and if you like it, Right click and select "Save Link as" to save it in your PC or Phone.
Not something you would normally find in a Tearooms....
